What Came in the Box: Setas Seminary, Microdosing, and Spiritual Healing

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the evolving role of psilocybin in wellness—and the cultural, emotional, and spiritual shift it’s quietly ushering in. Since then, my inbox has filled with one question: Where do I begin?

Let me answer that with a story—and a box.

After publishing that piece, I followed my own curiosity straight to Setas Seminary, a spiritual wellness church rooted in holistic healing and guided by the belief that natural sacraments can reconnect us to divine intelligence—within and beyond.

Becoming a member was refreshingly simple. No hoops. No dogma. No ten-page essays on your spiritual background. Just a clear intention and a heart open enough to walk a path of personal discovery. Once I signed up, the process was seamless: my membership was approved, my sacrament blend was confirmed, and within days, a small but powerful package arrived.

Inside was The Seeker Blend—a two-month supply of a sacred mushroom microdose blend created to facilitate spiritual awareness, mental clarity, and emotional recalibration. This isn’t a recreational mix. It’s a reverent one. The formulation includes:

  • Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
    Calms nervous energy
    Rich in antioxidants
Enhances blood flow and cardiovascular support
Prepares body and mind for introspection

  • Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)
    Supports focus and working memory
    Helps maintain balanced mood
Complements Motherwort and Holy Basil for mental clarity

  • Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum)
    Adaptogen that boosts stress resilience
Supports both physical and psychological well-being
    Promotes a spiritually grounded calm

On paper, it’s a blend of natural intelligence. In practice, it’s a mirror—and not always a soft one.

I began my journey on what I thought would be an ordinary day. The effects were subtle… and then they weren’t. The first session cracked something open. Not in a chaotic way—but in a way that felt like the truth I’d been trying to outrun had finally caught up. By day three, the blend felt like a wise, quiet guide. Not demanding anything. Just asking better questions.

Setas Seminary’s mission is to restore our connection to wholeness through sacred tools, ancient wisdom, and spiritual community. And while I haven’t yet participated in their moon ceremonies, solstice gatherings, or live teachings, I see how the framework they offer is carefully constructed for those who want not just healing, but transformation.

And in a world offering endless distraction, that is rare.

So if you’ve been wondering what a responsible, spiritually grounded introduction to psilocybin might look like outside of the clinical world—this might be your invitation. You won’t get a one-size-fits-all journey. You’ll get your own.

And it might just start with a box.
